Many of the projects and programs listed below are linked to an information page providing pictures of housing assisted by ARCH member cities through the Trust Fund and local housing programs, and a description of the partnerships and funding that were required to make the project a reality.

Family Rental Housing

Affordable rental housing generally serves households earning less than 80% of the area median income.  Over 1,200 affordable rental units on the Eastside have been assisted by the ARCH Housing Trust Fund.

Senior Housing

ARCH has assisted on over 400 units of Senior housing on the Eastside, including Senior apartments, a co-operative condominium, and a Senior assisted care residence.

Ownership Housing

Some ownership projects, such as Habitat and Avon Villa manufactured home community, are assisted through the Housing Trust Fund.  Most projects provide affordability in exchange for land use incentives and fee waivers offered to the builder.  There are over 115 price-restricted ownership units with long term affordability administered for member cities by ARCH.  Most of these units are attached homes and condominiums.  Some affordable units are great examples of innovative design, such as duplex units at Lakeview Park in Kirkland, and cottages and small lot detached single family at Greenbrier in Woodinville.

Transitional and Shelter Housing

Housing that provides temporary and  emergency shelter for families and individuals that would otherwise be facing homelessness.  Transitional and shelter housing is developed by non-profits with assistance from public agencies such as ARCH.

Special Needs Housing

The ARCH Housing Trust Fund has provided funding for special needs housing serving victims of domestic violence, persons with AIDS, housing for young pregnant women & new mothers, and for persons with developmental disabilities.  Special needs housing is developed by non-profits with assistance from public agencies such as ARCH.
